Primary Terpenes & Strains

Discover which of our strains have your favorite or desired terpenes.

Beta Carophyllene
The taste is a woody, sweet spice, like black pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Its primary therapeutic effects are anti-cancerous, antimicrobial, and antioxidant. It is found in most all of our strains as well as most cannabis strains as a whole. To read further please click below for a 3rd party article!

Terpinolene
The taste of this terpene tends to vary based on how it is mixed with other terpenes. Our two most prominent strains that have it will be Lemon Jeffery and Snowland. The flavor can be piney, floral, and sweetly fresh. While similar to caryophyllene in that it is antibacterial, and anti-cancerous its effects tend to lean more toward preventing heart disease, being an antifungal and insect repellent. Humulene
With a hoppy woody flavor, its effects tend to lean toward curving the munchie urge. It also is used widely in eastern medicine and biomedical research-- It's theraputic effects are anticancerous, and antibaterical. In our strains you will find this in our Acapulco Gold, Magic Jordan, Northwest Sunset, and the Red Pill.

Limonene
This beautiful terpene tends to lean toward a citrus taste and smell. More of the bitterness of the rind rather than the fruit. It is a very common cannabis terpene, it has been known to be a help with stress as well as mood. Its other common therapeutic properties are antifungal, antibacterial, and helps with your skin as well as can assist with symptoms of GERD. A large majority of the strains we rotate have this strain including Lemon Jeffery, Acapulco Gold, Fancy Girl, TrufflePuff, and Magic Jordan.

Pinene
The aroma on this one is fairly obvious, its like walking into a forest. It's fresh and earthy and piney. What you may not know is it is a pain reliever, it opens your airways and is a great anti inflammatory. It works very well in medical strains because in some cases it can minimize the incapacitating feeling of THC. You can find this in our Lemon Jeffery, The Red Pill, and our Horny Goat as well as our TrufflePuff.

Myrcene
As one of the most common terpenes you can find in cannabis, this one can be a variety of flavors depending on what it is paired with in a terpene profile of a specific plant. It can be sedative and used as a muscle relaxant. It is yet another cannabis terpene that is anticancerous and can block the growth of tumors. We have this terpene in almost all of our strains but most prominently Lemon Jeffery, Snowland, and Fancy Girl.

Cannabanoids

The key components of the cannabis entourage effect are the full spectrum of terpenes and cannabinoids present in all cannabis varieties, all of which have a paramount role in affecting our endocannabinoid system. Your endocannabinoid system (ECS) has a critical role in controlling many of our basic daily functions including learning and memory, emotional processing, sleep, pain control and inflammation, and eating!

While the most frequently discussed are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) there are possibly over 100 other cannabinoid compounds that have been identified. Here at Karmic Elevation Cannabis, we have many strains that have some of these lesser known cannabinoids in significant quantities! Let’s talk about the unique properties of these compounds!

Cannabigerol (CBG) is often claimed to be the “mother of all cannabinoids” as Cannabigerolic Acid (CBGA) is where all cannabinoids originate! As the plants reach the end of their flowering cycle they absorb more UV light causing the CBGA to convert to THC and CBD. Similar to CBD, CBG is non-intoxicating and thus has no discernable high.

Some more notable benefits of CBG include:

  • Combating symptoms associated with ADHD
  • Inhibiting growth in cancer cells
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Depression/anxiety
  • IBS symptoms
  • Pain relief
  • Antibacterial effects (even on drug-resistant strains!)

Typically very small amounts of CBG are left over in this process, however, one of the special traits of both our SnowLAnd and Fancy Girl are their 2-4% CBG levels! This may partially explain the uniquely mood-fixing, light and airy effects of these strains!

Cannabidivarin (CBDV) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid not dissimilar in chemical structure to CBD and is found primarily in landrace strains from India, Pakistan, and Mexico. Our Acapulco Gold has put out between 2-3% CBDV, which is an integral part of its effects. While research on this uncommon cannabinoid is still ongoing, early indications show it can help treat the symptoms of or side effects of autism, epilepsy, Rett syndrome, muscular dystrophy, nausea, and neuropathic pain! Potential for this cannabinoid’s medical benefits are high given that it bonds to our body differently from CBD which makes it a great option for treating a variety of conditions!
